Scania has unveiled their latest rear compactor product for the waste management industry at the Waste Management in Action exhibition in Melbourne, Australia.
The Scania P 310 rear loader comes complete with heavy-duty steel bumpers and electrical connections suitable for waste compactors. The model comprises of a wheel base of 5375mm, which allows adequate room for standard or low profile compactors to be fitted.
The vehicle specification includes Scania’s latest fully automated 2-pedal Opticruise transmission, drastically reducing driver fatigue on typical stop-start duty cycles.
Other driver friendly features include electronically-controlled disc brakes, EBS with integrated ABS and traction controls, as well as hill hold assist.
The standard specification model has a low tare weight of only 8230kg when fully fuelled.
