South Africa’s best-selling vehicle, the all-conquering Toyota Hilux is now available in special-edition “Black” guise. Exclusive to the flagship 2.8 GD-6 double-cab range and available in a choice of three striking hues – Glacier White, Chromium Silver and Graphite Grey – this special edition comes with a host of designer touches, created to elevate the Black above its more subdued stable mates.
The history of Hilux has been punctuated by many special editions over the years (Dakar, Legend 35, -40 and -45, as well as Heritage) to underline its distinctive ability to combine exclusivity with mass-market appeal, while remaining true to its tough mandate. This still holds true for the all-new Hilux Raider Black.
This new special edition features unique exterior detailing such as a Gloss Black front grille, Gloss Black front bumper insert, Colour-coded over-fenders, Colour-coded door handles, Colour-coded mirrors, 18 inch dual, tri-spoke alloy wheels and a Gloss Black roof.
Value added accessories include a Black rear styling bar and Black tonneau cover.
The interior has been updated with Black leather interior with silver stitching, a Power-adjustable driver’s seat and Carbon fibre panel accents.
The best news is that there’s a very small premium (approx. R27 000) to pay over the regular models, for a lot more spec – making the Hilux Raider Black an excellent value proposition.
