MAN Truck & Bus has presented two TGXs to the German Ski Association (DSV) as the country’s ski season officially opens.
The 500hp TGXs are equipped with a new combination of automated MAN TipMatic transmission and MAN HydroDrive hydrostatic front-wheel drivetrain which has been designed to help the vehicles maintain traction on slippery surfaces.
The trucks will haul workshop trailers to sites at ski venues, allowing people to have their skis serviced and prepared within close proximity to the slopes. In the past, fully equipped mobile workshops were often positioned a short distance away from ski slopes because of challenges posed by snow and ice.
